"In 1989, our historical 'bible', Une école polonaise libre en France occupée (“A Polish Free School in Occupied France”), was published by the association. It includes a list of students, teachers and staff at the school with their basic details: date and place of birth, and years at the school.
In 2000, a group of former students compiled around 180 biographies of former pupils, teachers and employees at the school in a book published in Polish (Villardczycy - Słownik Biograficzny).
Ewa Valentin-Stączek, a member of this group, continued the work and produced around 130 additional biographies. The association published them all in 2003, again in Polish (Villardczycy - Życiorysy).
A French version was published by Ewa Valentin-Stączek in 2007 (Les Villardiens - Biographies). The biographies on this website are based on these three works. They have been developed as far as possible (a work in progress!).
