Annual Reunions
"“There were those who recognised each other immediately and others who first read the names on the badge before falling into each other's arms with warm words of welcome.”
In 1958, in Krakow, around thirty former students got together to create the first "Villardians Alumni Circle". In 1974, former pupils and teachers from Poland and France reunited in Villard to create the "Union of Alumni of the Polish High School". In 1976, the first major reunion took place with eighty Villardians, including around thirty from Poland, and around fifty friends and family. The process of preserving the memory of the school began. By the turn of the century, the Villardians were getting older, and the association became primarily a rallying point. In 2010, the association opened up to the outside world. The role of president passed from the Villardians to their children. Work on preserving the memory of the school resumed.
The association has been meeting in Villard every year since 1976. In 2023, for the first time, no Villardians were present.
