This poetic saga is Henryk Grabowski's rewriting in French of the essential parts of his Villardczyk, written in verse and published in Warsaw in 1992. Some ""authentic"" parts of the original Villardczyk have not been rewritten, as Henryk considered them to have a ""timeless and metaphorical dimension"".
Out of loyalty to the originality and spirit of his text, Henryk chose to leave it to others – a specialist in Polish literature or of theatre – to one day complete the full translation of Villardczyk.
