
Polish Resistance fighters in the Vercors (2011)
"From 1940 to 1946, while Stalin and Hitler were crushing their homeland, some eight hundred Poles gathered in hotels in Villard-de-Lans and Lans-en-Vercors. They continued their studies at a school "unlike any other", the Cyprian Norwid Polish High School, the only free Polish secondary school in occupied Europe.

From July 2011 to February 2012, in Vassieux-en-Vercors. This fifteen-panel exhibition presents accounts by those involved in the creation of the school, the training of Poland's future elite, the clandestine departures to London, the fighting at Vassieux-en-Vercors and elsewhere, the twenty-five people who were killed and the thirty who were deported, and the return - or not - to their homeland.
