We are delighted to learn that, thanks to your municipality, a group of former students from the high school will be able to visit Villard from Poland in September. We are also grateful to you for agreeing to cover the accommodation and travel expenses of a four-person team from Polish television in Warsaw, who will be conducting interviews in Villard and making a film about the people of Villard and the battles of the Vercors, in tribute to the heroic efforts of the Resistance fighters in their opposition to their common enemy. This will also be a tribute to Franco-Polish solidarity and friendship.
The team, led by Ms. Ewa Cendrowska, will contact you upon arrival to finalize its program, and it would undoubtedly be a good idea for us to meet on this occasion with our friend Ravix, president of the Pionniers du Vercors, with Malbos, Nowak, and Owczarek, as well as with those members of your council who can offer suggestions and contribute to ensuring that the film is made in the best possible conditions and that it provides Villard with an exceptional opportunity to raise its profile both in France and abroad.
